Old Road Coffee

Clean, organized, outlets everywhere, reliable wifi, lots of table space, cool natural light. If this place were an instagram filter, it would be Gingham with the following edits: Brightness = +43, Contrast = +30, Warmth = -100.

The coffee is A+ with various coffee beans sourced from local roasteries: Mojo, Coffee Science, Congregation, etc.

My drip coffee (black) was $3.01 (including tax). Not too shabby.

Parking was EZ PZ and there’s tons of shade — no hot car summer and butt sweat in my beloved Toyota Corolla!

This coffee shop occupies a corner of Marigny and is right off of Esplanade. A snowball shop is just a block away. This is a great place to stay cool while sort of enjoying the outdoors.

As for study spaces? Awesome set up — lots of bar seating with leather bar chairs, medium sized metal tables, and a large table-table in the back. Music is good so far today — muted M.I.A. and The Weeknd in the background. A little kid and her toddler sister are tapping away at this old upright piano in the back (they’re just passing through). Plants everywhere. Concrete floors and tall shiplack ceilings.

You should just come here and find out for yourself that you like the place.
